Piero trained the traditional way — years at the chair, technique combined with improvisation — but what kept him there wasn't the discipline alone. It was the freedom inside it. Every client was a new canvas, and no two days behind the chair looked quite the same.

That balance of rigor and creativity is what made Piero a hairdresser, and decades later, it's the same instinct that made him an Ambassador of Calabrian Bergamot.

On one side was the fast pace of the business he'd built in America. On the other was Calabria, the region he'd grown up in, where he'd learned that scent and craftsmanship mattered as much as any trend.

Piero needed his friends and clients to experience his homeland, a way to bring Calabria into the salon every day — and that's where bergamot came in: the citrus his home region is known for, the pinnacle of citrus scent and oil quality and the thread that ties Piero's two homes together in a single bottle. As Piero says, it comes down to having two hearts — the Calabrian one and the American one.
